The typical steep, stoney pathways after Acebo. No steeper or difficult than other stoney sections but I fell here twice during early morning. A kindly reminder to pay attention or else!
After a short days walk because of my falls, I doubled back and pulled up in Ponferrada with still 202.5Km to go to Santiago.
The countryside is becoming a bit more like Ireland with my first sighting of some Rowan trees.
Yes, we're getting there alright. The marker for Galicia. The most westerly and last province in Northern Spain to be crossed.
Some Spanish guy insisted on taking a picture of me walking into Galicia. Why, I don't know. I was worried he might rob my phone when I turned my back. But Like everybody else he was dead sound.

Flowers with no visible leaves above ground. I don't know what they are. Any takers?
Edit note! I have just found out these are Autumn Blooming Crocus.
Or Colchicum autumnale for those more botanically minded.
